Vacature Sales Representative / Account Manager

CKC Machinehandel Surmac N.V. (Surmac) is a subsidiary of the Kersten Group in Suriname.

We are the dealer of world renowned brands such as Caterpillar, AGCO, Massey Ferguson and Ingersoll Rand. We are involved in all major industries such as mining, power generation, forestry, government, marine, oil and gas, agriculture, (heavy) construction. Our main goal is to offer integrated solutions in the field of technical equipment, product support, after sales service and training.

 Sales Representative / Account Manager

The job

As a Sales Representative / Account Manager you are responsible for achieving sales quota and assigned strategic account objectives. You are able to analyze where potential business is and you are particularly proactive in boosting commerce.

Furthermore you understand the accounts’ business objectives and coordinate internal company resources to ensure customer satisfaction. In this role you certainly will be engaged 70% of your time in active business development and 30% for internal procedure.

As a Sales representative /Account Manager you represent the entire range of Caterpillar and Dealership products and services to assigned customers.

You are leading the customer equipment management process and business planning cycles to ensure assigned that customers’ needs and expectations are met.

Affinity with the sales team from Caterpillar, particularly in product information and marketing strategy, is necessary.

We expect you to play an active role in exhibition activities.

Key skills and competences

  • Education on pre university -level (HBO)
  • Affinity and passion for technology
  • Highly motivated and responsible.
  • Knowledge of heavy equipment, an electrical and mechanical background is preferable
  • Experience with MS Office and computerized accounting
  • Good command of Dutch and English, written and spoken.
  • 2 to 4 years proven sales and business experience
  • Time management, priority establishment, strong presentation and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to visit local customers frequently
